Get to know Cykel (pronounced syɡ̊əl, it’s Swedish for cycle). Our friends Luke, Gretchen, and Taylor Lundquist have carefully restored an iconic Ironton building, transforming it into the ideal port of entry for your mountain, paved, and gravel cycling adventures. When you’re ready to hit the water, they also rent SUP paddle boards and kayaks!
Cykel is located at 324 Curtis Avenue in Ironton, just three blocks from the entrance to the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area. For families who are planning to rent and ride together, Cykel’s proximity to the paved and mountain bike trails is a sincere added value.
From bike rental (Niner aluminum hardtail, Niner carbon hardtail, Niner carbon full suspension), to bike sales (Niner mountain and gravel bikes), to gear, parts, components, apparel, and the all-important bike mechanic service, Cykel is here, ready to serve.
And get this, they do group rides open to the public on Thursday and Saturday at 6:30p, just show up at the shop. So cool.
Paddle board and Kayak Rental:
Cykel now rents SUP paddle boards and kayaks! Their paddle sport rentals include Grey Duck paddle boards and Brooklyn kayaks from 10–14 feet, plus tandem kayaks. They deliver and pick up within a 10-mile radius of their shop in Ironton. A variety of time slots are available—from four hours to all day, an entire weekend, or by the week. Life jackets are furnished and pets are allowed on the SUPs and kayaks. Reservations can be made on their website or call for group-rate pricing
