In town, yet only one block from the mountain bike trails, Koselig Cuyuna brings together the best of the outdoors with the warmth of Scandinavian modern living.
Koselig–pronounced koos-uh-lee—is a Norwegian adjective to describe comfort, relaxation, and connection with nature. You know, the good life. The Cuyuna life. In addition to relaxation, Koselig Cuyuna also delivers much needed space (space for you, space for friends, space for gear) both inside and outside of the home.
Lodging amenities include a detached two-stall garage, plus additional parking for two additional cars adjacent to the garage. The garage has plenty of room for your adventure gear, but if you’d prefer to bring your bikes into the house at night, you can, courtesy of a basement gear room easily accessible from the back of the house. (Remember to clean your bikes before transporting them to the basement, our red dirt doesn’t come out of walls and carpet easily!)
You’ll love the Koselig kitchen. The kitchen, the anchor space of the home, contains full amenities throughout. If you want to eat in, you certainly will have everything you need for success. However, if you want to see the town, you are only 2.5 blocks away from restaurants, retail stores, artisan ice cream, and a brewery on Main Street Crosby.
Next to the kitchen is the main floor bathroom with walk-in shower (including amazing towels) and the Koselig living room boasting gorgeous original maple wood flooring that cascades upward to the second floor. Throughout the home photography captured by property owner Eleanor adds a Minnesota touch to the experience.
Upstairs you’ll find three well-sized bedrooms (Bedroom 1 = Queen, Bedroom 2 = Queen, Bedroom 3 = Double). The second floor has an additional bathroom with walk-in shower and also a makeup counter. All bedrooms have closets or wardrobes for your clothing storage.
A special touch we enjoyed was the Cuyuna Brewing Company growler ready for a fill and enjoyment (just be sure to leave it for the next guest). Heating and air conditioning come standard, as does a wooden deck for entertaining at the back of the house. Koselig’s yard also includes green space on the east side of the house, where evening bonfires are a natural fit. A fence also surrounds the home which provides the opportunity to vacation with your favorite four-legged friend. Koselig asks that no pets are left alone in the fenced in space, pets are crated in the house when not attended, and pets are not allowed on furniture or beds (please bring your pet’s favorite bed to sleep on). A fee of $35.00 will be added to your stay to cover the additional cleaning costs.
Long story short, Koselig Cuyuna provides a historic home, ideal location, and warmth, distinction, and class to your outdoor mountain bike, paved trail, or water adventures. This will be a great place for friends to connect, or a couple to really get away. You’ll feel our Cuyuna history here. It feels good. We like it. We think you will too.
