With 50 miles of singletrack (by spring 2022) and 6,000 wooded acres hiring a guide that knows it all—whether it’s your first or fiftieth Cuyuna adventure—is a rewarding place to start.
Introducing Sure Shift MTB and their guides to Cuyuna, Mari and Derrick.
In addition to knowing Cuyuna’s red dirt trails, Derrick and Mari are locals, and certified as bike skills instructors with the Level 1 and Level II Certified Bike Instructors through the Bike Certified Instructor Program (BCIP).
Sure Shift MTB started their guiding company to share one thing: Cuyuna’s magic. Their vision is to provide their guided groups with a wonderful taste of Cuyuna—a taste that has been proven to alter lives for the better and allows a person to shed the worries of the world while experiencing it. A taste that drives us all to do it again, and again, and again.
Here’s more good news. When you reserve a guided ride, Sure Shift MTB can also hook up the following for you:
If mountain biking is new to you, or if your family wants to head out together, but everyone is at a different level of experience, Sure Shift MTB has the ability to customize the experience based on your group’s skills/experience. They provide basic pre-ride bike skills training, a safety talk, trail etiquette, and then everyone heads out for a successful tour of the red dirt rodeo. Sure Shift MTB can also take you out solo for a private, guided tour.
Over the years, one of our favorite things to do in any town we travel to is hiring a guide for our first ride. We’ve never been disappointed. We learn the story of the region, we know where to go, and we get to experience the outdoors and the town the way the locals who live there know it best. Afterward, we walk away a more confident and complete person.
Sure Shift MTB provides guided service on the following adventures:
