Location. Location. Location. Velocipede Cottage is located exactly 210 steps west of the Red Raven Bike Café on W Main Street in downtown Crosby. But it gets better—Velocipede is only three blocks south of the mountain bike trail access point north of Crosby, on the west side of HWY 6 (locally called the trailer park trailhead). In addition to its amazing location, Velocipede also features a large city lot that is mostly green space. Imagine the benefit of lodging in downtown Crosby but feeling like you’re not in the middle of town.

Inside the Cottage, you’ll be greeted with a care package containing everything you need to enjoy gourmet s’mores around the outdoor fire pit, surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Bedroom one features a queen bed; bedroom two features two extra-long twin beds. Both bedrooms are sized right and define the words “clean” and “well-kept.” The twin bedroom receives wonderful morning light that helps you get up to enjoy fresh roast coffee (also included in the Cottage).

The kitchen maximizes its interior space and provides the do-it-yourself chef a full arsenal to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner feasts. An LED fireplace helps bring the cozy to the cottage and provides a sense of place as you sit in the living room, complete with wall-mounted smart HDTV (not that you plan to watch TV, do you?). WiFi is also provided (but seriously, you’re not going to surf on your phone, are you?) 🙂

Velocipede’s bathroom is clean as a whistle, and you’ll enjoy the walk-in glass shower and an on-site laundry room. As an added value, the rear laundry room also features a separate entrance, so, if you happen to have some of Cuyuna’s red on your clothing, we’d suggest using that entrance to get the red in the washtub!

The entire cottage benefits from in-room air conditioning and heat (during those colder winter months).

Additional amenities include a garden hose to wash your bike post-ride and an exterior bicycle storage shed with padlock. And get this, the padlock to the shed even has a light on it so that you can see where to enter the code at night. The shed has a floor-mounted bike rack to store your bikes upright, and we’d suggest bringing along a cable and lock to double down your security.

On the exterior of the cottage you’ll also find a gorgeous firepit, a charcoal grill, and an outdoor space that allows you and your party to rest and relax conveniently close to the trails and downtown Crosby.
