This nearly 40 mile gravel and pavement ride loop takes you throughout the Cuyuna Hills and the Gravel Alps of Aitkin County (as the locals call them). You’ll experience approximately 60% gravel, 40% pavement throughout.

It’s recommended to bike this route in the morning in good light, as your chance of seeing nature awake as you quietly pass by is very high. From eagles, swans, and great blue herons, to deer—unending deer—you’ll see the best of Cuyuna outside the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

Depending on your biking speed, this could be a handful of hours, or a full day experience.
