Wolf Lake

Less than 10 minutes southwest of Ironton (7.8 miles from Cuyuna Cove) is the Wolf Lake Multi-Purpose Trail System, offering 10km of groomed trails across varying terrain, from flat areas to rolling hills. Most of the trails are groomed for classic cross-country skiing, with 1.5km groomed for skate. Great for beginner, average, and experienced Nordic skiers, this trail system features easy to difficult trails through hardwood forests and 100-year-old white and red pine.

Know before you go:

  • Groomed primarily for classic (minimal skate)
  • Easy, moderate, and difficult trails
  • A Great Minnesota Ski Pass is NOT required for this trail system
  • Fat biking is not allowed
