Snow Zombies Group Snowshoe Tour

Explore Cuyuna’s snow-covered singletrack by snowshoe with the rec area’s pioneering snowshoers, the Snow Zombies. Local members of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew provide a free, guided snowshoer tour of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area. Meet new people, have fun, and experience the mountain bike trails at night and on foot!

The group meets at the Miner’s Mountain Rally Center (17934 Co Rd 30, Ironton, MN 56455) at 6p most Tuesdays. No reservations are required, but we suggest emailing cuyunasnowshoe@gmail.com to confirm a tour will be taking place before you go.

Route and duration vary—tour leaders have an intimate knowledge of the trail system and can formulate a route that best suits the group’s abilities. While the tour is tailored to the ability of the participants, it is recommended that you are able and comfortable with walking at least a mile in the cold (and dark).

Tours begin as soon as there is enough snow on the trails to require grooming for fat biking and will continue until the melting snow reveals our red dirt once again..
