Cross-Country Ski Trails

Larson Lake

Cross-country ski through rolling oak forests, past large red and white pines, and around black spruce and tamarack bogs at Larson Lake—only 5.1 miles away from Red Rider Resort and just 2 miles from downtown Deerwood! Enjoy 11.6km of intermediate to difficult-level trails, groomed for both classic and skate cross-country skiing. The outer loop features large, challenging hills for intermediate-to-expert-level skiers only. The trails within the loop are easier and suitable for skiers of all levels.

Larson Lake also has two trailside shelters that serve as great spots to take rest, have a snack, and rehydrate before getting back on the trails!
