Just south of Crosby and Ironton, you`ll find the unincorporated community of Irondale Township, which was once known as Klondyke. Klondyke Trail is an adaptative/universal mountain bicycle trail in the Sagamore Unit that features an easy, nearly 3-mile loop with obstacle-free climbs and downhills—it’s very wide, very flowy, and very fun! Check out @CuyunaBunkhouse a boutique-style bunkhouse just south of Ironton on a quiet, 1.5-acre lot, minutes away from the mountain bike trails at Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area. The first level of Cuyuna Bunkhouse has a living area and a fully-stocked kitchen, with a barbecue grill outside. Upstairs features a large bedroom with two queen beds, an ensuite bathroom and laundry, and a two-person desk. An upstairs deck overlooks the large, wooded property, with a hammock and a bonfire pit with chairs to hang out and share tales of your day shredding the red. Plenty of parking and a single, detached garage to securely store your bicycles, kayaks, or other gear. Link in bio.

In mining, ore is extracted through a drawpoint—an opening at the bottom of a stope, a mine excavation. One of Cuyuna’s favorite trails, Drawpoint, starts as a cross-country trail with rock step-ups and step-downs, then shifts to a gravity flow trail filled with rocky goodness (rock drops and rock descents), finishing with tabletop jumps. Atop Drawpoint, you’ll have some wonderful views of Alstead Mine Lake as you ride along the edge of the overburden hill. #cuyuna #adventure #localtrails #mountainbike @RideTheRange

Rain prevented another stop to warm up, but long story short when you are planning to #Cuyuna it up, remember to give yourself an extra day to explore our adventure routes on the gravel and asphalt. It’s a beautiful experience. You’ll meet nature, and yourself, in a meaningful way.

Get to know @MissionBeachMN — a lakeside getaway on Upper Mission Lake, 12 miles northwest of Cuyuna. You’ll love their lakeside cabins under an old-growth canopy of Norway and white pines. Three cabins are almost on the water—“grandfathered in” to be allowed that close. EV-charging stations and high-speed Wi-fi in every cabin.
